Since time immemorial the soldier’s uniform and equipment have undergone innumerable changes dictated by fashion, practicality and comfort. National and ethnic influences have also played their part in fashioning each unit’s appearance by which it was recognized on parade ground and battlefield.

TIM REESE strives to illustrate salient examples for each period, recording all the intricate nuances of costume which make them unique. Uniform plates routinely represent the common soldier in rank and duty variations, often portrayed against a backdrop of battle flags or other material culture objects illustrative of period service.
